Hope
She was sitting in the canteen scanning
the crowd mindlessly. Her mind was racing ahead, imagining her reaction when he
proposes. She should feel relieved of all the tension that has been plaguing her
for the past 6 months. She saw him coming and her mind went blank. He looked so
serious and stunningly handsome.
Love
No matter how many ever times he
practiced, he was unable to work up his courage to propose her. He finally went
to her, looked her in the eye and said “I promise to love you even when you
have wrinkles, will you be mine?” He stood there waiting for her to respond, silently
praying.
Life
She watched as he proposed in his
croaky voice. She saw him silently praying and closed her eyes. She heard the
girl in front of him look up and smile. She saw him take her hand and she
turned away to go home to get married to the guy her parents had found for her.
